I am having issues with ArcGIS Pro crashing when I export a layout to an image – jpg, tif, gif, pdf, etc. The project file will open, I am able to edit. I have had this same issue with the same steps you described. I disabled these two items and have exported a few pdfs since, but haven’t really. When ArcFM exports map sheets, it leverages ArcGIS’s export code. Exporting too many PDF files at once can cause memory problems.

Feature and label weighting is used to decide how overlapping labels and features are drawn. I haven’t used any code, simply using data driven pages with a strip index. You can really create other issues and too many people seem to think that this is how to fix these problems.
So for the only work around I’ve found is if you disable DDP then re-enable before re-exporting it prevents the crash. Questions or issues with the site? Do you want to Unsubscribe? I’ll post if this fixes my tk. Uninstall any custom export extensions and try opening the Export Map dialog box again. While there can be several issues that may cause this to happen, many times it is simply the amount of information in the map that must be processed for output.
Does it throw a Serious Application Error or do something else?
Set the label weights to Low. To solve this, change as many feature weights as possible to none.
